"The Chosen Few" could have a lot of different meanings, but really the reason we decided to coin our 4th annual production sale with these three words is simple, we have been blessed with a large, healthy crop of the best heifer calves we could ever have hoped to have, and decided to offer only the best to our customers. This calf crop is the result of planned matings selected several years prior with the intention to offer our JUNIOR customers the opportunity to purchase elite show heifers to exhibit at the nearby World Dairy Expo Center at the 2006 National Classic Junior Show. The Janssen donors, when properly mated, have proven to produce CHAMPIONS, as demonstrated by the success of customers like Grindstone Creek Farms(NWSS Grand Champion Junior Heifer Calf), Amanda Eberspacher(3rd overall and Champion Owned Heifer at the 2005 National Classic), among countless others. Congratulations to all Juniors who have successfully shown Janssen Farms heifers in the past years, your hard work and dedication to our breed will secure our future. The rewarding part of producing elite seedstock is to see your clients succeed with their investments and make a healthy return. This past year Grindstone Creek Farm has had a tremendous amount of success with JF purchased donors including, JF Miss Action 020K, the dam of 2 of the bulls in their NWSS Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Three, and First Glance, the dam of the $40,000 Remington/GCF/Genex A.I. sire, GCF First Dream! You can be assured that after their show career is over these females will make 1st rate cows and will make a nice return on investment.

Chris and Dawn were blessed this spring with a beautiful baby girl, Carly! Thank the lord she looks like her mother, we were all worried when we knew it was going to be a girl that the poor thing would look like Chris!! Late breaking news, Jon and Maradith are expecting in early February, 2006, right between Denver and our 1st bull sale!!
